Through tours, lectures and other educational projects, LaMikdash is bringing the Temple Mount back into the national conciousness of the Jewish people. The organization seeks to educate and energize the Jewish masses to reconnect with their holiest site by bringing them up to the Temple Mount itself.
Samaria experience: Step into the world of ancient Israel
The IDF has issued a permit for entry to the gravesite of Yehoshua Ben Nun just north of Ariel. The entry permit applies from 22:30 Thursday June 11th to 4:30 Friday June 12th.
Lamikdash will be leading a group to the kever and afterwards to important historical sites around Samaria.
Itinerary:
24:00 - Departure from Ma'aleh Adumim
1:00 - Arrive at Kever Yehoshua Ben Nun
2:15 - Coffe, cheesecake, immersion and chabura learning at the "Levi-Yitzchak" spring at the foot of Har Grizim
5:30 - Shacharit prayers at the beautiful Sneh Efraim synagogue
6:45 - Breakfast (omelletes, cheeses, coffee etc.)
8:00 - Tour of Mt. Grizim with Samaritan Kohen (Synagogue, museum, site of Passover sacrifice)
9:30 - Visit site of the Tabernacle at Shiloh
and the ancient Israelite altar at Givat Har-El
10:30 - Tour of Psagot winery with wine and cheese tasting (The Psagot winery is partially built in an ancient cave in which 2nd Temple period wine press equipment can still be seen)
11:30 - Return to Ma'aleh Adumim
Important points:
1. Tel Shiloh has a 12NIS entrance fee.
2. The cost of the Psagot winery tour is 45NIS
3. There is a beautiful natural spring at the foot of Mt. Grizim. It has a building over it with a changing room. So bring a towel if you want to immerse.
